Momo – new restaurant with handprinted curtains

Last month, a new asian and sushi restaurant has opened doors in Póvoa do Varzim, with unique and original curtains. We were challenged to create a large-scale stamping – a Japanese style mandala on a curtain divided in half. In order to save time and material, only half of a stamp was created which, by its repetition through a rotation, gave rise to the complete mandala.

We have also created a drawing allusive to noodles for smaller curtains at the kitchen’s entrance.

We loved this partnership so much not only because of the challenge itself but also because we really believe that handprinting textiles can endowed spaces of great personality as well as enhancing its human aspect.
