The Creativity Virus

Last year we were invited by Katja Tschimmel (Mindshake) to think about creativity and to create an original piece of work around this theme. At first I thought I would have to deconstruct the meaning of this word, gather a set of data or inspirations that would somehow show me what creativity is and reveal mine. I ended up sticking to my work space and found in a simple climbing plant the objectification of something that is born of something, grows continuously, transforms and embraces others. Through drawing I let its representation emerge and converted it into a stencil handprinting fabric project.

This work integrates The Creativity Virus – a book about and for Creative Thinking and an exhibition of the same name, which culminated in an auction. Both the book and the exhibition bring together works by 60 national and international authors.
